Some pieces are quiet about what they do. This is one of them. Smooth and close to the skin, polished rose copper with two domed ends that sit right on the pulse points. It is a simple shape. Simple shapes are the hardest to get right.
I shape the band by hand and polish it in stages - each pass slower than the last until the surface holds the light the way I want. The domed ends are formed separately and attached last. There is nothing to hide behind in a piece this clean, so everything has to be right.
The wrist is where people have worn copper the longest. Close to the pulse, close to the surface. People who try it tend to keep it on. I have never had to say more than that.
It is the kind of bracelet that disappears into a day and comes off at night with the feeling that something is missing. I hope it finds a wrist that needs it.
